Title: "La Enfermedad del Amor" (The Love Sickness)
Author: Moruena Estrígana
Published: 2017
Genre: New Adult/ Romantic

(THERE IS NOT A VERSION IN ENGLISH)

Eleanor has just discovered how her boyfriend cheated on her best friend after suffering a blow. Two betrayals in a single night will make you leave home with whatever she is wearing, even if this is a ridiculous pink cancan and shoes in a hurry. And so ridiculous is how Caden finds it, lying in the middle of an ice rink, drinking and staring at nothing as if his world had just ended just a few hours before. Something stirs inside him and he can't leave her alone, even if he considers her a stretched-out cock; although she hates the one who has been her boyfriend and those who are with her  in college. Eleanor and Caden do not look alike at all, but they end up living on the same floor with Zach, Caden's best friend. Two opposed souls that they don't have anything in common, however, without knowing how, these handsome poles end up attracting ... having to fight against the infirm of love, the one against which Caden vows to be vaccinated.

It's the first book I've read from Moruena Estrígana and I think I've become one of her next fans.

Many people will think that this book is full of clichés, that is what always happens in the romantic novels but I have truly loved it. I have been able to see how the two main characters have left their prejudices behind and have been opening each other up from being very good friends to falling in love. The novel begins at an important point, or rather, in the trigger that will give the foot to all the plot of this story. The author surprises us, with a beginning without preambles, without introductions, it goes straight to the point, something that has surprised me and that I valued a lot at the beginning of this saga. It is a fascinating read, Moruena Estrígana has narrated the story in a sweet and close way to the reader, she describe us hard problems, that unfortunately are given nowadays, as the people's internal feelings, loneliness fear, family arguments, and many more problems. I think the author has made a sweet novel, but, also, dramatic and hard that fills us with emotion and makes us empathize with the protagonists; she has made me cry without remedy and live it with great emotion, so, as I said, convey lots of feelings towards the reader.

Prejudices are also part of the novel, among them are also the social class difference that will be present through a great part of the work, it will make us live very intense and unexpected moments thanks to the small twists that the novel gives.
Regarding the love relationship, it is precious, little by little and without realizing they fall in love with each other and give us very beautiful and special moments that will rob us without remedy the heart, but at the same time, there will also be moments full of sexual tension unresolved and with much complicity something that will be culminated in a beautiful and unexpected end and as throughout the novel, full of strength.

The main characters are undoubtedly created perfect for this novel, they have a lot of character and are protagonists that evolve and grow throughout the entire story.

With respect to Caden, it is necessary to say that he is the bad boy and ladies' man of this novel, but he hides a heart as big as the world, it is a pleasure to discover him throughout the novel. Caden has dated girls, even he has had some girlfriends, but he never got to fall in love, until someone crosses his way dressed in a tutu, yes, I'm talking about Eleanor, she puts his world upside down. Although, he does not want to acknowledge his feelings because he doesn't want to suffer "the disease of love".

On the other hand, Eleanor can become a little desperate for some people, there will even be people who will not come to connect with her. However, I perfectly understand her situation, her way of being and her actions. She has only one purpose, that her parents feel proud of her since they have never come to value her. Even she has several older siblings, has always felt alone and out of place, however, she has a terrifying fear of losing her family so she tries her best to get high grades but no matter how hard she tries her efforts are worthless. Eleanor has a problem that only her family knows that makes her different and the main reason for all her frustrations.

Secondary characters also play a lot and entertain us throughout history. Characters like: Zach, Pete, Valentine ... make the reading light and very entertaining.

As I said earlier, the author's form of writing is sublime, writes in a very simple way and with a fresh touch but at the same time elegant and passionate. In addition, she writes in a tender way that makes me fall in love with reading, and her a delicate way will never make me get tired of reading.

The rhythm of the reading is very agile and continuous, and so it stays until the end, making the reading very entertaining and complete.

In short, "The Disease of Love" is a sweet and intense story full of hard and intense moments. The characters are unique, magical and well created full of stories, funny moments and full of sexual tensions that have made me live a precious love story that anyone would like to live, including me. I fully recommend this magical and enchanting story that will keep you captivated until the end.

El amor no es egoísta y se da sin esperar nada, pero, si no lo cuidas, al final se acaba por marchitar.

Love isn't selfish and it gives without expecting anything, but if you don't take the care of it, in the end it just fades.
